In this Feb. 6, 2008 interview on The Current, I discuss the absence of Canada's Strategic Petroleum Reserves among other industrialized countries. Using the example of Hurricane Katrina, I talk about how the US quickly used its reserves to mitigate the disaster when 95% of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico was knocked offline.
